CIC will provide reasonable accommodation in our testing process to candidates requesting such an accommodation in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In order to be eligible to take CIC Exams candidates must meet the physical requirements found in ASME B30.5 3.1.2 (listed on our medical verification form).
It is the responsibility of the candidate to request and be granted the accommodation before registering for the Exam(s) for which they are seeking accommodation.
The candidate will submit a request for accommodation form, which includes
- Listing the Exam(s) for which they are requesting accommodation
- Naming the disability, when it was first diagnosed and last evaluated
- Describing the specific accommodation being requested
- Providing documentation from a licensed care provider about diagnosis and recent evaluation of the disability
CIC will grant appropriate and reasonable accommodations at no cost to the candidate to ensure all individuals have equal access to the testing process. CIC is not able to grant any accommodation that limits its ability to measure the candidate’s capability to safely operate a crane.
