CIC candidates’ individual information and results are held strictly confidential by CIC.
Candidates may choose to give their results to others by
- Physically, verbally, or electronically relaying their results to another person or party.
- Providing contact information for a third party to receive exam results.
- Having an employer or other party register them for the exam.
If an employer’s representative registers candidates for their exam(s), that registrar will have access to their exam status, results, and certification card.
Employers, potential employers, regulatory agencies or other interested parties may request the names of individuals who are currently certified by CIC. Names of certified individuals may be provided in response to a formal written request, but CIC keeps actual scores confidential.
At any time candidates may request a duplicate certification card for a small replacement fee.
